The first question in this regard arises (once again), what were the motives for the US invasion of Iraq?

To answer the question I am always stuck in a confusion regarding the motives of this war just like Bush administration. However, it needs to be addressed that the adventure that led to disaster was initially started with the propaganda that one of the three ‘axis of evil’ is having weapons of mass destruction (WMD) that Bush and his cronies failed to spot.

Here comes the question, where are the Iraqis gone that had been employed in Saddam’s so called ‘huge arms industry’?

I think the answer is somewhere in the audiotape posted on the Internet Tuesday by an al-Qaeda-linked group in Iraq that had begun manufacturing its own rockets. This I think is only possible with the expertise of thousands of Iraqis that had been employed under Saddam to make artillery shells, rifles, land mines, mortars and missiles.

What do we see is happening now?

It becomes clear now that the insurgents have managed to get their hands on new weapons and they are using a combination of previous weapons in new and effective ways. The recent series of helicopter downings have already cast a spotlight on insurgent claims of new, deadly ways to attack Americans. So, here comes the ‘real trouble’ and it is a sign of what they call ‘a thinking enemy.’
