
U.S. chagrin on North Korea’s intransigence is imminent and White house official, Victor Cha, Bush’s top adviser on N. Korea, expressed his concern over the intensity of the issue, conveying a strict message that U.S. was loosing its patience.
Expiration of the dead line:
U.S. frown is due to the expiration of the dead line that stipulated North Korea to denounce its nuclear program and shut down its Pyongyang based nuclear reactor. North Korea, agreed in Feb 2007, to eschew its clandestine nuclear program in return of economic appraisals i.e. US $ 25 million and other material aids. North Korea, however, missed April 14 dead line set to close its nuclear reactors.
Apprehensions of nuclear proliferation:
U.S. apprehensions escalate, rightly so, of Iran accessing the nuclear expertise of Korea. It will add another country to the school of nuclear warhead equipped nation thus putting the arms race at its zenith in the Asian sub- continent. Any successful endeavor of Iran to extract the blue print of nuclear expertise will not only vigor the political crises in Asia but can woefully result in the abuse of power.
