The full-scale bloodbath in Lebanon and now even West Bank Israel is continued on full throttle and the international community is watching it as a movie in theatre, apparently not trying to intervene into the matter. It is a sorry state of the theoretically world’s most powerful organization U.N. when it says that it will take some more time to intervene.



As a better fact, U.S. backed France is keeping Mr. Annan busy by using its tactics of bringing solutions through diplomatic efforts. However, this gimmick is nothing but to linger on the prevailing situation, as their primary motive is the complete destruction of Hezbollah.



By now it is public knowledge that Hezbollah was almost ready for the unconditional ceasefire but was ignored, it raises obvious question that why France which was trying to solve the problem through peaceful manner did not grab the opportunity.



This time, the U.S. policy in the Lebanon crisis is now clear that it will use this opportunity to destroy Hezbollah completely. Since Israel unlike other wars this time witnessing tacit but full support of the U.S., it is on the rampage to kill people on its will.







In the meanwhile, the seemingly moot spectator of the drama, U.S. with its allies are pressing hard to invoke U.N. resolution 1559 that advocates provisions to complete disarm the Hezbollah group. No matter, countless U.N. resolutions were flouted and being flouted by Israel such as resolutions regarding withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza strip, West Bank and of course Golan Heights. Then U.N. resolution 1559 is the tool in the hands of U.S., which is being used to serve their interest.



If we look at the history of U.S. policy towards Mid East it is clear enough, in the first stage it was among the few states, which lost no time to recognize Israel as a sovereign state. U.S first supported Israel with a view to contain Islamic power and U.S.S.R in the wake of ongoing cold war.







U.S. changed its color soon after the disintegration of U.S.S.R and started pressing Israel to normalize its relation with the Muslim countries, as evident in the endless talks at Camp David between the leaders of Israeli and Palestinian leaders that yield nothing.



However, when terror struck the U.S. it again took a U-turn, reversed its policy in the region, and started encouraging Israel again to contain Muslim countries under their pet rhetoric of ‘war against terrorism’.



Therefore, once brainchild of Britain and U.S. now has turned as a tool for U.S. to help attaining them their goals. It is now time for Israel to wake up, as it is not the present time it needs to fear but the future.







Perhaps Israel is not perceiving the danger ahead as it is helping preparing a massive disgruntled force for the future. This future disgruntled force against Israel is the displaced ones and the refugees of the present war. Therefore in any case, Israel is trying to thwart the immediate problem through force only to invite bigger problem in the future.
