These leaflets were supposedly dropped by Israel in Lebanon reports Beirutlive. The Israeli Army seems to be fighting physically with Hezbollah and trying to influence psychology of Lebanese about Hezbollah the way Israel see it.
However, the leaflet propaganda is not new to Middle East region, as it has been repeated many a times to warn civilians. In recent times, the art of leaflet propaganda has earlier been experienced in Afghanistan and Iraq and now in Lebanon.
Both the leaflets have depicted the chief of Hezbollah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, as a cobra wiping out Lebanon. The first leaflet has shown President Bashar al Assad of Syria, Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinjad as snake charmers on the Lebanon map while Nasrallah rising out as a cobra.
While the second leaflet has depicted Nasrallah, arising out of Southern Beirut like a monster to engulf entire Lebanon. The quote used in the second leaflet reads as ‘To the Lebanese People: Know that from the front he’s your brother but from behind he is a cobra’.
