alqaedas

Karl Marx had long ago pointed out how there is nothing called idealism. Everything runs on the cogs of money. Every struggle is between those who have money and those who don’t. At one level, Bush is in Iraq because he does not have oil. Now it has been revealed by MSNBC that al-Qaeda soldiers in Iraq are in battle not for any ideologies against the US but simply for the greatest motivator of all, cash.

Abu Nawall, a captured Osama-operative confesses to be in it all just for the money. The Americans are gushing over this fact. They are fighting for their nation whereas these Eastern barbarians are fighting for money. The US has a cause whereas al-Qaeda mercenaries have nothing, so to say. Over time, thus, this great battle will fizzle out. Nothing can be more far from the truth.

Let us consider the following facts:

a) In every movement throughout the world, mercenaries always play a role. They are all the more dangerous because the mercenaries hired by terrorists have to deliver results. Not being bale to carry on delegated tasks result in non-payments or penalties. The mercenary is forced to succeed whereas a terrorist ideologue may take it easy. Mercenaries are weapons in the hands of terror-unit leaders

b) Those former ideologues who turn cash-hungry and appear to be betrayers of the espoused cause are signs that the upper ranks of the terror outfits are very strong and consolidated. There is a Judas for every Jesus. The discipline, austerity and the necessary fiscal sacrifices of the revolutionary life must be getting stricter and more demanding for previous soldiers to rebel. Thus, fighting for money is a very dangerous sign.

c) The ability to pay off soldiers for their services is a sign that a terrorist group is well financed. That means there remains a steady flow of income for the group. Freezing of bank accounts and other measures have had no effect on the terrorists.

It is in this context that we must analyze this report of al-Qaeda insurgency. Col. Stephen Twitty of the US army is twittering the death of the al-Qaeda due to lack of funds and cash crunch. But this is only a soon to be forgotten twitter in face of coming roars of terrorism.
