After Israel’s 34-day long blood-spattered war with Hezbollah guerrillas in and around Lebanon that closed down on last August under the terms of the UN ceasefire resolution, situation on Wednesday in the Middle-East once again become intense when Lebanese anti-aircraft guns fired at Israeli warplanes over southern Lebanon.

The incident occurred at 10:40 a.m. when Israeli fighter-bombers had earlier fluttered over the Tyre region of Southern Lebanon for about two hours at low altitude.

Lebanese government and the United Nations have severely condemned the infringed flights and alleged Israel with the violation of the ceasefire agreement endorsed by the UN Security Council. A Lebanese spokesman said that, the Israeli planes had ‘violated Lebanese sovereignty, posing a challenge to U.N. Resolution 1701′.

However, Israel claimed that they just wanted to ensure if there was any smuggling of weapons going on in the region by the Hezbollah militants.

According to the reports of UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), there were a number of Israeli air violations over the United Nations peacekeepers’ area of operation in the southern part of the country that certainly caused problems in restoring peace in the clash vulnerable region. Israeli jets time and again intrude the space precincts and hover around the restricted area to gather or find the location and information about the Lebanese forces as well as Hezbollah guerrillas.

Such incidents are quite frequent in the region, and possibly will continue in future until Israel enjoys the full US support and the US keep on donating handsome funds to the United Nations, the so-called secular organization to keep watch and safeguard rights of poor nations.
