Israeli President Moshe Katsav, denied the allegations of rape, by saying that there is a conspiracy behind dragging him and imposing such allegations. He cleared that the allegations imposed by many female employees are completely false.

Two weeks ago, statements were made by Israeli police that they are having enough evidences which may prove Mr. Katsav guilt regarding rape and wire tapping. His non-binding legal opinion follows a request from Supreme Court.

Mr. Katsav appealed the authorities that they should not involve media into the matter, because such involvement may intend to prove his innocence.

Answering the questions related to his resignation, he told that he will prefer to wait instead of resignation.

In case, if Katsav is found guilty, it would be a matter of shame for Israel, because President is amongst the top government officials. If this happens, Katsav will not be forgiven by Israeli people and the harsh sentence may be delivered by court against him
