bomb blast by al qaeda kills 200 in iraq

Violence in Iraq seems to be unabated. And as militants up their ante against the state, Iraq and Jordan have joined hands to fight their common enemy, the Al Qaeda.

In another incident in Iraq, more than 200 innocent lives were lost in a bomb attack. Ruthless attacks by the militants of Al Qaeda in the form of bombings have continued ever since the war on terror began. The Shia-Sunni conflict seems to be aired by Al Qaeda making full use of the differences between the two communities. Even the fear of sectarian violence spreading to neighboring countries has started haunting many of Iraq’s neighbors.

Jordan, an active US ally on its war on terror in Iraq, is one such country that fears trouble permeating to various parts of the Middle East. Especially when the nearest neighbor is Shiite Iran (considered to be an enemy of U.S.), fears of the violence spreading seem likely. More so, Jordan itself has faced destructive attacks from Al Qaeda in the past.

In order to come over their fears both Jordan and Iraq have decided to jointly fight the Al Qaeda of which information sharing is going to be the key weapon.

Al Qaeda’s influence seems to be increasing in the Middle East and Iraq being their foremost enemy. The violence and human slaughter in the country has escalated to new heights. It is important that Middle East be ready to counterattack Al Qaeda before it is too late. The situation in Iraq is a warning for all to be ready to fight terrorism.
