A Destroyed Civilian Building



According to a report, Israeli forces have entered south Lebanon and have stepped up fierce offensive in its two fronts and particularly in Lebanon. The war has already witnessed several deaths and the offensive from both the sides seems to be relentless.



One thing is crucial in this conflict in the Middle East; Hezbollah’s combating capability has gone down unimaginably.



This is of course not good news since any organization, which has not been recognized by the government, or international bodies should posses respectable amounts of arms and ammunition. How long can anyone survive on sheer hubris?



The recent escalation of Israeli forces suggests a strategic offensive they have launched against Hezbollah since they are mostly targeting civil population and civil installations. On the other hand, Israel says that it is targeting only strategic points to curb down Hezbollah.



It further says that since it is essential to block the supply line of Hezbollah, which is mainly transported via roads, so they are bound to destroy some civilian infrastructure as well.



As a crude fact, Israel wants to pressurize the Lebanese government to intervene into the matter directly and as the innocents are being killed, even Lebanon government could come under pressure to interfere.



However, if the Israeli actions would maintain targeting civilian installations, it may loose its support from various quarters at least whatsoever support it enjoys from Arab nations. Exactly, for this very reason U.S. had to change their strategy in Afghanistan as they were loosing the local support.
