dsgsghttpenglishpravdarunewsworld16 08 200796008 military_deal 0 US’s back door policies to deal with the crises in the Mideast are nothing but a blunder and this is evident when for the second consecutive time it poured arms in the region. Was it really needed? This poking in the Mideast affairs will prove a pinch of salt to it and will worsen the crises than untying the knots

In a bid to isolate Iran in the region, now US conferred $30bn arms deal to Israel alone in comparison to same amount of deal that US granted to Six Arab countries last month. Well, it’s more an effort on US side to govern the Mideast and partially to subdue violent Iran.

US is chasing Iran mercilessly and its plans are gradually alienating Iran. After making hue and cry over the Iranian nuclear plans, two mammoth arms deals to Mideast, and announcing the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as global terrorists, US is sequentially striving to outdo Iranian influence. These are the handy tools for US to cut off funding to Iranian network that not only fights for it, but also provides funds for its fighting. It will also influence Iran’s arms deals considerably.

The present US maneuverings are to avoid the possibilities of war with Iran. US perhaps realize that war will be a bad decision which not only will leave it diplomatically isolated in world community but results will not even be different than they are in Iraq or Afghanistan. Therefore US efforts are aimed to re-establish its credibility in the region, and particularly to stem the flux of insurgency to Iraq.

The present move may provide US the arms market and strategic upper hand in the Mideast, but I wonder how it can be helpful in protecting the stability and influence of the region. On the other hand, US doesn’t want to, and of course should not, take an action without the allies of the region. There are only two substantial military powers in the region - namely Saudi Arabia and Israel. And these two nations are bestowed with big arms deals to support US’s future course of action to deter aggressive Iran.

Will US be able to extract Saudi Arabia’s support for its position in Iraq or for Arab-Israeli peace process either? Of course not, because US policies with its beset Shiite Govt. in Iraq has led to the sectarian violence and cleansing of Sunnis from the major cities of the country while depriving them off their fair share in political power and access to its riches.

Finally, will peace and stability be restored with the arms that US is pouring in the Mideast? Absolutely not and it’ll mess up the whole region than extracting substantial gains, because arms deals can make the beneficiaries power drunk. Furthermore, US policies are based on discrimination and that too to the extent of domestic political posturing for self-advantage than seriously playing a vital role that is expected from it.

Is it worth considering to send arms in the volatile area where the violence is looming large and that too in the name of attaining peace and stability. How one can do that at such a crucial time. It’s certainly a condemnable action. Arms deals will increase the tension in the region than solving the problems in reality, but that never was, not even at present, US’s concern. So, Will Mideast linger forever with future predicament or are there permanent solutions available?
