Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, though in a low voice, lashed out on U.S. Marines owing to the killing of civilians in Haditha last year. Al-Maliki has cautioned the coalition troops saying they need to show more care. However, there was a call to respect human rights but these things are something very close to ‘eye wash’ only.
The incident, which took place in November last year had sent a shock wave across the globe. However, two different investigations were ordered to investigate deadly encounter and whether the incident was a subject of cover up.
In the meanwhile, U.S. has rejected the accusation that any efforts were being taken to cover up the incident by the U.S. administration. The U.S. administration has promised a full disclosure of the military investigation probing the incident. It was alleged that in the incident, the troop had killed at least 24 civilians in Haditha last year.
