On October 4 the bomber attacked on the convoy of industrial minister of Iraq killing atleast 14 people and seriously injuring 75. An Iraqi Minister was lucky enough to survive as at the time he was not in his car. His 2 bodyguards were amongst the killed.
As it was confirmed by The U.S Army that it is highest number of car bombings this week, although many of them were defused. No proper and confirmed figures are presently available. At the moment U.S.Forces are trying to rebuilt Iraq’s army and police to tackle the violent situation. But such efforts are not working well, Iraqis are co-relating situation with religion. Minorities, especially the Sunni’s are putting allegations on Iraq
Government for not safeguarding their rights.
U.S Military spokesmen said the number of attacks had increased in past weeks as it was expected before. But the proportion of causalities has decreased as compared to the month of June. The number of causalities amongst U.S troops has risen to 17. Army spokesmen cleared that it was a hard week for the U.S troops. The U.S forces are determined to hand-over the control of Iraq to Iraq’s security forces so that it may withdraw its 14000 troops.
There is also a scope of arising civil war within Iraq due to conflicts amongst Shias and Sunnies. The PM of Iraq has launched 4 point plan to check the communal imbalance. Better understanding between Iraqis can only take Iraq towards development from the present war field
