In an endeavor to restore peace in the Middle-East, the most tumultuous and hazardous region of the world, and to ensure a protected Israel and an self-regulating and autonomous state of Palestine, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas assemble together and vowed to keep the peace process going in the bothered Mid-east expanse. Blair, over the principals laid down by the so-called Quartet of Middle East peacemakers, asserted

Obviously, there’s going to be a lot of negotiation and talking over the formation of the national unity government. And it’s important, as I said to President Abbas, that that conforms to the principals laid down....

Anticipating a difficult time in future negotiations, Blair appreciated the sincere efforts of the President Abbas and asserted that,

I have no doubt that the president is sincerely and completely committed to this.

Whereas, Mahmoud Abbas promising his rejection to any sort of violence and hostile activities, and keeping all the international treaties and agreements with Israel and other nations, said,

We are really concerned about getting the kind of peace that is based on a two-state solution - Israel and Palestine - which live in security and peace side by side.

Blair previously told the House of Commons that the future security of the West can’t be guaranteed unless there is peace and stability in the Middle East.
