11 people were killed by gunmen dressed as policeman in a T.V station in Baghdad. Fully armed men arrived at station at 7 am in morning with four to six S.U vehicles. First, they killed the guards and after entering the building they started severe firing in which other technical and administrative staff members were also killed. Only two of them were lucky enough to survive.

The T.V station was owned by the National Justice and Progressive Party, that took part in last two elections but failed to grab any seat. The party had established its own T.V station and it was its first broadcast, which mainly includes patriotic songs. In this T.V station Shias, Sunnis and Kurds use to work collectively with no political agenda.

The attacks were strongly condemned by the people because the militants are targeting the sources, which actually describes the situation of Iraq. Such an attack on the journalist community shows that there is someone or some group who does not want Iraq to overcome from such crumbling situation.

Anyhow, Iraq is considered to be the most dangerous place for journalists in the whole world and the incident has further marred its position globally.
